M1 course syllabi are delivered to the Curriculum Office on the first floor of Sanger. M2 course syllabi are delivered to the hallway adjacent to CBIL’s main entrance. CBIL also keeps a master copy of all syllabi on the reference shelves. - How do I find a book in CBIL?
Refer to the “Catalog” link on CBIL’s homepage. If you have questions, inquire at the service desk.
- Does CBIL have my textbook?
CBIL has all required and optional textbooks for M1 and M2 classes, as well as many Board Review books and M3 Clerkship books.
- Where can I send a fax?
You can send faxes from Mail Services in the VMI Building (corner of East Marshall and 10th Street, 1st Floor), from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The rate is $1 per sheet for a local number.
- Where is the post office?
- Main Hospital (1st Floor, Gift Shop) to buy stamps
- Main Hospital (1st Floor, across from the coffee cart) for mailing
- The VMI Building (corner of East Marshall and 10th Street, 1st Floor) for mailing and stamps
- What should I do if the printer pauses during my job? Check the Novell pop-up message. If your account balance is not sufficient, ask the person at the service desk for a “Request for More Prints” form.
- What should I do if my VCUCard does not grant me access to MSB on evenings after five PM or weekends? Ask for a door access form at the Service Desk and enter your complete name and complete VCUCard Number. Please print neatly. You may also e-mail it to Elizabeth Marlowe [E-mail]: marloweep@vcu.edu.
- Where are the office supplies? CBIL provides basic supplies for student use. These supplies are located beside the printer next to the main entrance. These include pencils, pens, scissors, tape, paperclips and hole punches. CBIL also has a pencil sharpener and paper cutter available. CBIL does NOT provide batteries, envelopes, tissues, shredding services, post-its or specialty supplies.
