MAC 2001: Sunny Daze, Eyeing the Future

Cruisin' the educational boardwalk

On behalf of the Maryland MAC members and the program committee, I invite you to join us in Ocean City Maryland for the annual MAC meeting. This year's program Sunny Daze: Eyeing the Future attempts to de-mystify technology and professional issues by providing insight and practical approaches to prepare for the future. You will hear a lot about personal digital assistants (PDAs) and their use in health care. Also, you will hear from two noted researchers about proving our worth and from a distinguished panel about communicating our value.

In developing the program we tried to include all your favorite meeting features. We retained the one and half day meeting structure introduced last year. We brought back the round table lunch discussions, a popular feature of the past. We included posters and contributed papers by MAC members and an NLM update. New this year is a technology fair in the exhibit arcade on Thursday afternoon. Several vendors will do live demonstrations of their products and answer your questions in real time.

We hope you will join us in Ocean City to take a cruise down the boardwalk with an eye on the future!

Janice Kelly, MAC 2001 Program Committee Chair
