The Professional Development Committee (PDC) is responsible for coordinating the chapter's efforts in continuing education and providing information and guidance to groups and individuals on matters relating to professional development.

The PDC's primary charge is to provide continuing education classes at the annual meeting.

Other projects include:

• MAC Posters and Papers Mentorship Program
• AHIP recruitment and counseling
• The PDC also maintains a page which provides information on continuing education and professional development opportunities for health information professionals.
