CBIL
provides many services within the computer lab to assist students
and faculty with curriculum materials. Some of CBIL's more
popular services among medical students include Webmail,
Student White Pages
and the Medical
Student Pager. We also provide students access
to the M-I and M-II PowerPoint
slides online and in print. Students can use
these slides to study in or out of CBIL.
We also assist students
and faculty by providing information and support for PowerPoint
formatting, Computerized
Testing and the online CBIL
Classroom calendar, which shows CBIL's classroom
availability. Medical students can also turn to CBIL services
for assistance with their Medical
Informatics assignments and for using the Class
Scheduler.
SOM's
faculty, staff and students should also be aware of CBIL's
newest computer service-the Wireless
Network. Working with VCUnet, SOM has developed
a wireless network that allows users to access the CBIL network
from the Medical Sciences Building auditorium to the courtyard
to the Baruch Auditorium in the Egyptian Building. One benefit
of this service is to allow more students access to CBIL's
online resources.
