The Computer Based Instruction Lab produces a quarterly newsletter called CBIL Space Currents. In 1995, CBIL began writing the newsletter to describe the many projects and events taking place within the Office of Faculty and Instructional Development (OFID).

CBIL distributes the newsletter to VCU faculty and staff as well as to members of medical schools across the country. Faculty and staff within OFID are responsible for developing and writing articles for the newsletter. Brenda Seago, M.L.S., M.A., Director of CBIL, oversees the newsletter's production.
